Indian shares fell 1% on Friday - last session of the August month - due to slowdown in the growth momentum, political & policy paralysis and unlikely of QE3 hint by Ben Bernanke in the Jackson Hole meet today evening. Unwinding of long positions as the market head into September month too added fuel to the fire in the second half of trade.

Nifty Trend For Monday : Technical Chart Analysis

Nifty is week on charts, if we review Nifty's performance last week then in the early trading days it made made new gains but in some of the last trading days it made lows ahead of the global cues and Asian markets. After Jackson hole meet Sensex fell, market sentiments also turned negative and Rupee also noted some declines. So traders and investors are advised to keep close eye on Nifty as it may behave choppy in early trade and expected to behave rangebound during the day.

With the Jackson Hole speech on economic policy by Ben Bernanke around the corner, precious metals gold and silver are expected to trade firm for the day. Gold prices were slightly bearish in the initial trading hours with LTP to the tune of 30797 on India's MCX at 10.19 am IST. Silver was trading at 56768.

Precious metals ended flat on Thursday as weakness in other financial markets prompted bullion investors to hold their bets ahead of a speech by U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke today which investors will watch for clues to monetary policy. In the last eight sessions, gold has gained 3 percent on expectations that Bernanke's speech will signal easier monetary policy is on the way. Precious metals might come under pressure if Bernanke does not signal imminent easing. This (rally) may mean that the risk for precious metals is to the downside if the Fed Chairman today does not signal clearly or loudly enough that further monetary easing is likely on the way.

Silver futures prices have hardly seen in any change today morning. Asian equities drifted lower as we expect the Jackson Hole meet could prove to be a non event. Moreover, Japan retail sales fell unexpectedly which may also create pressure on the metal. Euro although is trading at a slight higher note we expect it to come down slowly the Spanish Prime minister delayed for seeking bailout for Spain while its regions are continuously urging for aids. And in evening, all eyes will be on the Jackson Hole Symposium wherein we expect no easing and hence market anxiety can be observed. 

Hence, we recommend staying short for silver from higher level.

Indian Share market Trend Tomorrow - Nifty Predictions 31 August

Indian share market trend today traded mixed. As we predicted earlier, Nifty managed to close above 5300. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers of Rs 2,306.10 crore (provisional) today, according to data released by BSE. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 5,167.92 crore, gross sales totalled Rs 2,861.82 crore.

The Nifty opens lower for fifth consecutive session on the final day of the expiry. The focus will now shift to West awaiting decisive move from central bankers’ meet at Jackson Hole.

NIFTY CHART ANALYSIS

The action formed the biggest Bear Candle of the current Settlement ending today. The candle's high-low levels exactly touch both sides of the channel we showed. The low is now testing the previous support of August 10 at 17471. After heavy losses, watch if the nearby levels provide some support again. The bias would remain negative otherwise
